Brazil
Peter and Selma head up a network of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) activities in Fortaleza, Brasil called "Urban Missions - My Father`s House". The network includes a drop in centre for street kids in the city; a prison ministry to young offenders; a family support program; a farm restoration centre, and a Discipleship Training School (DTS). Over the years we have followed the ups and downs of the former Street children who went to live on the farm. Peter and Selma have been re-evaluating the network's projects - six locations, many projects and a host of lives! Now they need to bring the revised structure into being.

Haiti
Carwyn and Reninca work with the Haiti Hospital Appeal (HHA) outside Cap Haitien, Haiti. HHA is working to improve health care facilities available to the poor - in particular maternal health and obstetrics. They are building a new hospital and have set up “Maison de Benediction” a Respite Home for disabled children.
On 12th January 2010 a major earthquake devastated the capital Port au Prince. Since then a lot has happened at the Haiti Hospital and they have set up a Spinal Injuries Unit; and Cholera Isolation Units run by Medecin Sans Frontiers.
The new Maternity and Paediatric Units were opened in April 2012. Historically 70-80% of premature births result in death or serious disability so this facility is of vital importance. You can read up to date news at http://haitihospitalappeal.org/
HHA has started a new “Happy Birthday Campaign” to raise awareness of the issues and to encourage giving - leaflets are available at the Church.
The Ambulance supplied by ESBC in 2009 has suffered a lot of wear and tear during the aftermath of the earthquake and cholera riots. So we have decided to start a fund for the repair / replacement of the Haiti Ambulance. The money offered as a Thank Offering at the Church Anniversary in October 2011 has been placed in this fund.
