Getting to know Jesus
A one time decision with a lifetime's worth of journey - Christianity is very much a journey.
We are all sinners - every person in our church is a sinner, all with pasts and things they are ashamed of - as well as achievements they are proud of. Regardless, we are all the same. The Bible makes no distinction but outlines:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:23
There are no goody two shoes, no holier than thou's and definitely no one able to hold their head up and claim to be better. We all failed and still continue to fail to uphold the exacting standards of GOD. As such - we are all guilty of sin, and all liable for the same punishment:
Romans 6:23 states
For the wages of sin is death.....
Thankfully though - it doesn't end there, otherwise there would be no hope other than eternal death in the form of Hell. It goes on to say:
...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Eternal life that is available to all for the simple price of just believing and declaring Jesus Christ as Lord, God's son whom died and rose again for our sins.

If you are ready to accept Jesus as Lord now - just pray and ask him to be your Lord. Acknowledge him as God, As saviour. Acknowledge that He came, died, rose again in order to pay the death penalty that we all owed. You do not need to undergo any ritual or say any special prayer - you just need to talk with Him as you do any other living person.
We do, however, understand that for some people - this first step can be confusing and daunting, as such have provided the following prayer if you would prefer to use it as a guide or template.
“Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally.
I’m sorry for going my own way instead of your way. For the sins that I committed and those I will commit.
Please forgive me, and please give me a new heart, one which looks to emulate you and the example that you set for us to live by.
Today I choose to accept your forgiveness for everything I’ve ever thought, or said, or done wrong.
I receive new life and acknowledge you as God's son, one of the trinity, that died for my sins - rose again to life and paid the price which I owed.
Come and take first place in my life, fill me with your Holy Spirit, and make me the person you want me to be.
Amen.”
